There are so many ways to help us make a difference!

Join the Kitty Waystation Program to help Foster Cats & Kittens

  • Provide a temporary home and care to cats or kittens until they are adopted or transferred to a partner rescue. As always, foster homes able to handle neonates and medically fragile kittens are desperately needed.
    • Currently we require all our fosters to have the strict ability to keep foster animals separate from any household pets and for all household pets to be current on certain vaccinations or have medical waivers.
  • Become a foster respite-provider. Could you cover a night’s care if a foster home had an emergency?
  • Do you have the skills to take on role of Foster and Adoption coordinator? Help support foster homes by coordinating re-supplies, vet visits, and the adoption process.

Volunteer for the SLV Community Cat Care Program

  • Join the feral colony support team. Help respond to calls for assistance, assess the colony and make contact with any neighborhood caretakers. Determine the need for follow up and monitoring.
  • Join the trapping team. Help set or monitor live traps to rescue kittens and TNR feral colony cats.
  • Join the transport team. Help transport cats to our rescue partners.
  • Join the food bank team. Help pick up food donations from the Colorado Springs area and deliver it to our foster homes and colony caretakers.
  • Provide a safe overnight location for TNR cats after their surgery.
  • Build winter shelters for feral cats.

Become an Angels Fund Team member

  • Help find donors for our emergency medical fund. This fund is used for individual cats with urgent medical needs that exceed the immediate financial abilities of a caretaker.

Behind the scenes support

  • Website Assistance: We use WordPress and could use some help updating and possibly maintaining our website.
  • Social Media Assistance:
    • Can you help us create impactful social media posts across our platforms? We are on FaceBook, Instagram, TikTok, Bluesky, X, and YouTube.
    • We could use help responding to messages sent to us on social media platforms. We would love to create info posts that easily link to local vets and clinics or answer common questions.
  • Fundraiser Boosting:
    • Can you help us connect with social media accounts that can help boost our building fundraiser?
  • Random cleaning and fix it tasks:
    • We have all sorts of minor tasks that would help make our work easier. Can you help maintain our equipment? Do an oil change on our vehicle? Anyone out there able to re-weld kennels? Tell us your skills and talents!
  • Call for Artists: We are planning a cat themed art fundraiser.
