Spay/Neuter

SLV Spay and Neuter Alliance

Our spay or neuter surgery is $50 for cats and $75 for dogs and includes distemper/FVRCP combo and rabies vaccines at no additional charge. Microchips at time of surgery are $20 for each pet. We charge an added $25 for male dogs and $50 for females over 50 pounds and under 75 pounds, so please spay/neuter early. We cannot work with dogs over 75 pounds or any pets over 6 years old.

Disclose any medical conditions your pet has when making your appointment. We reserve the right to refuse any pet. When we do this it is not because we don’t want to help. It is for the safety of your pet.

Packages are available for puppies and kittens under 6 months of age for $90 and $65 respectively. Package includes surgery, a microchip, DAPP/FVRCP vaccinations with a booster 3-4 weeks later, and a rabies vaccination. For those under 12 weeks old at the time of surgery a third DAPP/FVRCP booster is added for an additional $10 and rabies is postponed until a full 16 weeks old. Puppies and kittens must be at least 8 weeks old and 2lbs for surgery.

To avoid having a high no show rate we are requiring a $20 deposit be paid at booking, which is credited to your appointment. Please have a card ready when you book.

We do not keep your pet overnight. Your pet will need to be picked up no later than 5:00 PM. NO EXCEPTIONS. We will text you when your pet is ready to be picked up and you will be expected within the hour. Drive times are taken into consideration.

Be patient if you have questions about scheduling. Someone should return your text message within two business days. Our staff volunteers a significant amount of time to SLV SNA so please be kind. Text messages will be answered first, voicemails second, and the phone is answered only when we happen to be free at the moment, which isn’t often! Contact us at 719-657-7076. This phone number is for clinic scheduling and feral cat assistance only.

We are a non-profit and are able to provide this service because of donations. Appointment fees only cover a portion of our expenses. We are continually accepting donations, monetary or pet and medical supplies including food, towels and blankets. We work with many rescues and low income families. Your donation will be appreciated.
